PLEASE NOTE: Many of these works are of a humorous nature. Many may be considered wacky, absurd or even offensive by some. I have chosen to include them all, despite their questionable nature, because they are undeniably exemplary of my production skills. Humor is my tendency and love, however my abilities can be applied to any context. Please view or listen to them with a sense of humor or at least an open mind..
For clips requiring RealPlayer, version 7 or 8 is recommended, especially if you are
installing the program only to view the clips on this page.
The newest 'RealOne' player is a much longer download for the same
functionality with a more complex installation procedure.

This 10-minute short won Best Film, Best Acting and Best Special Effects at the 2nd Annual Lionheart Film Festival, as voted by the patrons of the Lionheart Blues Cafe. A lot of the humor may be lost on those who are not from the Capital Region of NY or Vermont, as it is spoof of the Nina Jewlers radio ads that have run up here on radio for years. It was based on the original radio spoof I did on Talk Show 91. It stars myself and Marge Travison. It was conceived and edited by myself. Writing credits include myself, Dan Healy & Arielle Trimm. |

This was our flagship performance at the party 'Eternity 5' at the Center-City Arena in Schenectady, NY. The night was December 31st, 1999 and the suspense of 'Y2K' was looming over us. We were, in a sense, the 'timekeepers' for the 3,000 people in attendance, as we brought them into the millenium with this awe-inspiring countdown sequence. It is important to note that this is NOT merely a pre-edited segment; this was sequenced LIVE using three computers and a video mixer, projected onto a 12-foot screen and fed through the stadium's sound system. |
This is another party we peformed at in February of 2000. This shows a good example of the live multimedia experience we provide for techno parties. |

This is a montage of some of some of the funniest moments throughout the show's five-year run.. set to the score of The Sex Pistol's version of "My Way" and Eric Clapton's "Layla". |
This is a collection of all the intro and segue animations that I created for the show. They were all created on Amiga computers. Although perhaps not so impressive anymore, it was really pretty good for the mid-90's.. and they were all done by hand without the specialized software that exists today. |
For our 50th Episode we decided to do a live show with call-ins. We played some of our favorite music videos throughout the years, gave away prizes and foisted 'interactive video games' on our callers. It was a lot of fun! |
For their next live show, Jim and Paul offered themselves up for a date. These two 30-second promos advertised the event a few weeks prior to the show. The first is a spoof of the 'One-Day Sale" ads that A&S ran during the 80's. Those of you who did not live in downstate New York at the time may be unfamiliar with their trademark of an announcer overdubbed such that it sounds like they are bantering with themselves while models sacheted in front of a white backdrop. The second promo is a similar voiceover with some animation I created especially for this show. |

This was a show done to hype up the upcoming "Win A Date" live show. It was actually a spoof of a call-in Sports Show that was popular in Westchester, NY at the time, "Sports Talk Live", hosted by Jim Campion. My good friend Al Quagliata did a dead-on impersonation of Jim that delighted both 'My Part of the Thing' and 'Sports Talk' viewers. I made a rare on-camera appearance as a sports coach who was teaching Jim and Paul how to be suave with the ladies. |
The live show commenced on a Saturday at 8 PM. Apparently there were plenty of women with not much to do that night, at least in Westchester, NY.. because the calls rang off the hook. Guest M.C. Dave Casale screened the girls with tough questions to narrow it down to one lucky lady. |
Immediately after the Live "Win A Date" Special, we traveled to pick up 'Karen' who was selected as the winner. The boys charmed her the rest of the night as they took her to a carnival and McDonald's.. |
On this episode, My Part of the Thing presented 'Underground Theatre' to showcase the work of San Francisco director Danny Plotnick. - his short film 'Steel Belted Romeos'. The show is 'hosted by 'Sir Randolph Windbag', as played by Al Quagliata. PLEASE NOTE: The second segment is the complete short film by Danny Plotnick and is provided here for conext only. It is inherently not one of my works n any way. |

This segment appeared on the same episode as Underground Theatre, featuring 'Steel Belted Romeos'. In that film, the characters make reference to 'Uncle Ragu' and his famous Pasta Figioli. Al Quagliata makes Uncle Ragu come alive as he shows viewers how to cook his trademark pasta dish.. well, almost. |
These are just some various IDs from music celebrities and some of the wacky characters that also did public access television shows in the Westchester, NY area at the time.. |

WCDB's transmitter has often been plagued with problems. As a result, it can sometimes be difficult to receive the station in spots that are very close to campus. One time when experiencing this problem, I exclaimed to myself, 'Is our transmitter located in a 50-foot well??' With this, I decided to spoof the traditional commercial radio IDs which proudly boast of transmitters atop huge skyscrapers and such.. |
This 'gentle nurturer' of an announcer suggests that sports fans either need anger-management therapy.. or their weekly fix of 'Saturday Sports Spotlight'! |
The icy tone of this promo makes for a contrary, even facetious approach to promoting a hip-hop event thrown by WCDB.. |

This promo explained the persona of 'John H. Dean', a geriatric WWII veteran who drives an AMC Eagle and regular character on the show, and captured some of his best moments. |

Talk Show 91 had 'faux sponsors' - imaginary companies or organizations that alledgedy 'sponsored' our show. I dreamed this one up after having eaten a thick juicy steak and felt a bit sluggish. It's a parody of those 'industry council' service announcments, such as 'Pork, The Other White Meat' or 'got milk?' |
Talk Show 91 had 'faux sponsors' - imaginary companies or organizations that alledgedy 'sponsored' our show. This one is a nod to the Blues Brothers movie and is perhaps the most unlikely 'sponsorship' since the KKK adopted a highway.. |
Talk Show 91 had 'faux sponsors' - imaginary companies or organizations that alledgedy 'sponsored' our show. This one peddled items that previously had a very niche market with much fanfare using an interesting slogan.. |
Talk Show 91 had 'faux sponsors' - imaginary companies or organizations that alledgedy 'sponsored' our show. In the 80's, Pepperridge Farm cookies ran ads with a naive eldery man wearing dixie hat and suspenders. He'd reminisce about the old days while savoring the cookies. In this spot, we have him further expounding upon 'the old days'.. |

Talk Show 91 had 'faux sponsors' - imaginary companies or organizations that alledgedy 'sponsored' our show. One of our co-hosts was a 'celiac sprue' which meant that he could not digest wheat gluten, which is in most prepared foods. We had him describe his condition and then ran this 'ad'.. |
Talk Show 91 had 'faux sponsors' - imaginary companies or organizations that alledgedy 'sponsored' our show. Those of you from Vermont or the Capital District of NY will recognize this as an obvious poke at the Nina Jewler ads that have run on radio for years in those areas. The rest of you may not quite get the joke.. |
